Learners are required to complete a portfolio of evidence.

Aims and objectives of the qualification

The objective of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding needed to progress from a teaching assistant role to that of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.

Progression opportunities

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into or within employment in early years roles and/or continue their study in this or other areas. Learners who complete this qualification may go on to further learning in related areas such as the following apprenticeship standard: Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant.

Entry guidance

Learners will be working in a teaching assistant role. This qualification is regulated for learners aged 18 years and above.
