This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by Innovate Awarding External Quality Advisors (EQAs).

Aims and objectives of the qualification

This qualification is designed for learners who want the knowledge and understanding of children and young people’s mental health.

Progression opportunities

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into further education or employment in could progress into further education or employment in the health and social care or education sectors.

Learners could also progress onto:

• Level 3 Award in the Awareness of the Mental Capacity Act 2005

• Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (England)

• Level 3 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
