Assessment requirements

This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by Innovate Awarding External Quality Advisors (EQAs). Learners must compile a portfolio of evidence demonstrating how they meet the learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

Aims and objectives of the qualification

The IAO Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills (ITQ) (RQF) aims to meet the needs of Learners who are working or want to work with IT or ICT across a range of sectors. This qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their IT skills for personal use or in preparation for employment or career progression.

Progression opportunities

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to further qualifications in the IAO IT User Skills suite at Level 2 and 3 or sector specific qualifications such as:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration

  • Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration

  • Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration

  • Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Customer Service

Entry guidance

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. This qualification is suitable for those who work or wish to work with IT across a range of sectors. It provides Learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their IT skills in a wide range of job roles.
