This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by Innovate Awarding External Quality Advisers (EQAs).

This qualification is intended for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment without any requirement to practice as assessors.

Progression opportunities

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into employment as an assessor or onto further qualifications such as:

• IAO Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment

• IAO Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
