This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by Innovate Awarding External Quality Advisors (EQAs).

Aims and objectives of the qualification

This qualification is aimed at candidate assessors who assess occupational competence in a learner’s work environment, covering a range of assessment methods.

Progression opportunities

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into employment as an assessor or onto further qualifications such as:

• IAO Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

• IAO Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

• IAO Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes
