This occupation is found in a range of public, private, and voluntary sector organisations to support statutory safeguarding responsibilities to be fulfilled and demonstrate how organisations work to protect an individual’s health, wellbeing and human rights; enabling individuals to live free from harm, abuse and neglect.

Assessment methods

The gateway requirements for your EPA are:

  • achieve English and mathematics qualifications in line with the apprenticeship funding rules

  • for the professional discussion underpinned by portfolio, you must submit a portfolio of evidence

Assessment Method One 

Presentation with questions (45 minutes)

Assessment Method Two

Professional discussion underpinned by portfolio (60 minutes)
