About the apprenticeship

A chef de partie is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen. This type of chef usually manages a small team of workers, which they must keep organised so that dishes go out on time and the work area remains clean and orderly.

Assessment methods

Gateway Requirements

Level 2 Maths and English. Portfolio of Evidence.

On-screen test

75 minutes. Online; Anywhere suitable; exam conditions.

Observation

3 1/2 hour observation with questions. Face to face; Apprentice’s workplace.

Fail/Pass/Distinction

Resit costs

Professional Discussion: £300. Observation: £750. On-Demand Test: 1st re-sit free, £50 thereafter.
